Valpoviña Tourism understands sustainable development as a process of growth of Humanity with the aim of caring for and protecting the environment. In short, it is to CONSERVE, PROTECT AND CARE for what we have today for future generations.
In this way, sustainability has become a central theme for Valpoviña Turismo, which implements daily growth practices in collaboration with the community and surrounding environment. It is a company of integrity, honest ethics, and a constant pursuit of the common good. Valpoviña Turismo has a significant commitment to the environment, demonstrating notable progress and achievements in this area through the implementation of monitoring and continuous improvement plans.
Our goal is to advance the search for a broad national consensus around sustainable development, which requires the participation of all sectors of the country. As a company, and while this is a highly consistent and compelling argument, we have gone a little further. Therefore, we want to emphasize that many of the measures presented will achieve significant positive results for our society.
To this end, Valpoviña Tourism presents its Commitment to Sustainability and invites all employees of the tourism sector to participate in the national challenge of achieving sustainable development for the country. We are confident that this Sustainability Policy contributes to improving the quality of life for all Chileans and to the well-being of future generations in the country and the planet.
Commitments to Sustainability
Below are the commitments the company has made to strengthen Sustainability.
1. Respect the environment as a primary objective. Promote reuse, recycling, and environmentally friendly waste management by separating waste at source. This way, we can manage it properly and even add value to it by adding it to the by-products bag.
2.- Raise awareness and adequately train Valpoviña Turismo employees through training activities related to quality improvement, the environment, professional ethics, customer service, among others.
3.- Promoting minimal and always clean energy use among our employees.
4.- Optimizing water consumption and promoting its responsible use
5.- Digitization of most of the company's processes in order to recycle and reuse paper.
6.- Controlling discharges.
7.- Transportation must always be carried out in compliance with legal speed limits and traffic regulations, understanding that the transportation of people always involves ensuring the safety and care of the passenger.
8- Involve our suppliers, subcontractors, employees, customers, and the rest of society in our Sustainable Management System, promoting environmentally friendly actions that are taken into account when choosing products or services.
9.-Provide our clients with information related to our principles on Sustainable Development and the management we carry out to preserve the environment and local culture.
10.- Periodically evaluate and update our objectives and goals, as well as review, modify, and adapt our Management System to the reality of the destination.
11.- Valpoviña Tourism adheres to the principles of fair trade and we are committed to fulfilling them.
12. We are committed to preventing the exploitation of human beings in all its forms, especially sexual exploitation, and particularly when it may affect minors. We categorically reject child labor and forced labor.
